A dynamic meeting between two powerful creatures. The symbolism of the raven is widely varied among human cultures. It midnight feathers caused some to believe it symbolizes darkness and bad fortunes. However, in many other cultures ravens are represent prophecy and insight. Ravens are remarkably intelligent, resourceful, and underestimated. My painting portrays one it a positive light, greeting a magnificent horse, and holding his ground.

This is one of my first official art pieces. I was in middle school and I was chosen to work with a four other talented artists in my class l to paint a mural for the school. Our theme was the environment so we decided to focus on the ocean.

In buddhist culture, the three poisons cause suffering in life and prevent people from obtaining liberation. The three poisons are symbolically drawn at the center of Buddhist artwork, with a bird, snake and pig, representing greed, ill will and delusion respectively.
